What We Do
Real Estate
Since 1956, CAN DO, Inc. has been a leading economic developer in Northeastern Pennsylvania, building three industrial parks and a corporate center all within a few miles from the Crossroads of the East, Interstates 80 and 81.
Our parks are within two hours of New York City and Philadelphia and within a 300-mile radius of 25% of the population and total production of the entire nation. Our largest development, Humboldt Industrial Park, is home to nearly 60 industries and 10,000 jobs.
Entrepreneurship
CAN BE, in cooperation with Penn State Hazleton, the Downtown Hazleton Alliance for Progress, the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce, Wilkes University, Ben Franklin Technology Partners and other strategic partners and associations, is a value-added entity that serves as a catalyst in bringing together new business interests and business development resources that lead to launching new businesses and new jobs for the Hazleton area.

Business Financing
We work alongside our partners the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA), NEPA Alliance, Luzerne County Office of Community Development and Metro Action to provide a variety of grants and loans include land and building acquisition loans, Small Business First loans, machinery and equipment loans, workforce training grants and job creation and investment loans.
Utility Provider
Completed in 1995, the Corporate Center, located in the picturesque Drums Valley sits at the intersection of Interstate 80 and State Route 309 via Exit 262 — and minutes from the junction of I-80 and I-81. The Corporate Center is an ideal location for flex buildings or light manufacturing and features the latest communications technology and amenities.
As necessary, CAN DO constructs its own utility lines to keep development in its industrial parks prospering.

Water
We own and operate water systems in the Humboldt Industrial Park, McAdoo Industrial Park, and the CAN DO Corporate Center.
- CAN DO Inc. supplies quality water throughout the park in 12” and 16” ductile iron mains at pressures and flow rates suitable for heavy industrial use.
- Fire protection is aided by four 1 million gallon standpipes, which ride on the system.
- Humboldt Industrial Park also features an interconnection with the Hazleton City Authority which provides additional water capacity to supplement the current system.
- Companies with significant water usage requirements may also connect directly to the Hazleton City Authority which has a larger water system with ample capacity

Wastewater
We also own and operate our own sewage collection system and treatment plant in the Humboldt Industrial Park.
