DHD, III, LLC. was seeking funding for the need for Class A/B professional office space in downtown Hazleton for a loan amounting over $6.4 million. There was a request for $2million in LSA Program assistance, which provides funding necessary for the rehabilitation of underutilized 8 story building.
The project was expected to create 160 jobs in total. The PIDA funds were used for the renovation and soft costs associated with the rehabilitation of the project. It should be noted that in addition to the PIDA budget matching fund requirements, the owners did have those additional funds through cash injection invested in this building.
